* I am a model train person. I wouldn't know if or where Pennsy would have gotten there passenger cars. The HO ones I have are Varney, Penn-Line, Con Cor, Athearn, Tyco, and Model Power. I know Rivarossi, and Hobbyline also made silver streamlined cars.

Penn used silver cars for their Congressional train among others.  They did have a tuscan stripe along the letterboard, and yellow lettering .  AFAIK they never used dome cars; the domes would have come so close to the catenary that the 11,000 volt electricity would have arced across the air gap to the car.  Migjht have been cool to see at night, tho.

The lima locomotive above is a powerfull pulling one. I can when running the train adding to the cars with the three from the Lima-Playart set show in reply 47. These are matching cars and with the 5 above will make a 8 car train.

Pete : Seaboard isn't a road I run on my layout. The trucks are missing because of the Burlington set I got about a year ago. The old set had metal trucks that had cast rot. I used the trucks from the Seaboard set for the Burlington. The Seaboard is not a runner anymore. I hope to fine some good Athearn streamline passenger trucks for it.

** Last Sunday at the Greenberg train show at Edison NJ, I got a 8 car Penn-Line B&O standard passenger set. Baggage, combine, 3 coaches, dinner, Pullman, and observation. Blue with gray roof. Long sort after addition. It was there at a table close to ours all day Saturday at a high price. From where i was sitting i could see it. On Sunday the price came down, but was still too high for me. 2 hours before closing the price came down some more and was close and I made an offer and got the set. Things usually don't work out that way.

Here are some old all sheet metal passenger cars. They were made by Fleischmann for release by Penn Line. There were 3 different cars, I think, of which I have only two. Mine are the Pennsylvania railroad versions.
* The top car is a combine, Baggage-Mail. The other is a Pullman. I have seen the coach, maybe others.

Here is another set of extruded aluminum cars. They are either Kasner, or Herkimer full size cars. You can see that another floor and end castings are needed for the RPO baggage. The 2 in the center are the same. They are coaches. One is turned around to show the difference in windows from one side to the other.
