Are those B&O cars made out of aluminum?  My son has an old Tyco/Mantua Penn Central coach, which is aluminum.  I don't remember just how extensive that line of cars was, but it seems to me to have been mostly East Coast roadnames.  Which is ok in my book!

Passenger equipment has always been my favorite. Below are photos of some of my recent projects. The first three are minimally modified Bachman Spectrum pullmans. The fourth is an Athearn kit bash and the fifth is scratch built.

Great job on #99 Tom, it looks very nice!

For those who haven't seen it yet, Tom has a build log for #99 with photos on the Scratchbuilding board at http://forums.railfan.net/forums.cgi?board=Scratchbuild;action=display;num=1200244370

Congrats on finishing the project!

Tom:

An excellent model!

It would be at home on anyone's anthracite layout, especially with a 4-6-2 on the front!

Hi Alan ; Sorry I cought this so late. The B&O Pass cars are the standard plastic Tyco-Mantua type. A little shorter than the Metal ones you have.
* In the post before the B&O one, the streamlined Varney is pulling a set of the same Tyco plastic cars in Pennsylvania RR colors.

* Today ; a train set I use on my local Pennsylvania Railroad runs is shown. They are a old group of Penn-Line Cars. I dont have the Penn-Line Observation car. Later when Life like made them, a dinner car was aviable for this set. I dont have that either. I run it with 1 or 2 baggage cars. For power in steam either a G5, K2, K3, or K4. In deisel a EMD F unit.

*  A set reciently aquired. The Athearn Burlington express. Almost all the trucks seen were thrown away. Replaced with plastic side frames, and metal wheels. As to a Baker coupler it went to.

Many many many years ago I had the same set (less the redundant obs) in Santa Fe silver. The ubiquitous Athearn 'shorties'.

(Is that a Baker coupler I see poking in at the upper right?)

The Penn Line PRR train is a neat one.  Life Like still made the cars until fairly recently, I think.  Life Like was selling the cars under the Scenic Master name.

I was able to get one coach in a sort of MILW scheme that I rebuilt the trucks on and converted it to KD5s.  It will eventually get repainted into Leigh Valley colors.

The car is a "good enough" stand in for some of the LV's shorter coaches, once it's painted and decaled.

Mike, That is the CNJ's only streamlined locomotive #810. One that they rebuilt into a streamliner. Copying the A4 style of England.
