I wish I had one of those Bachmann Spectrum 2-10-0s in Frisco paint.

Hello all,
Been a long time since I posted anything on here but felt I had too. I have some painting projects that I just have to post. The first is my latest Ebay aquisition. It's a Chessie SD20-2. true to the prototype it was modified from an SD35.

The next two are from my "what if?" projects. This is a Dash 8 40CW in B&O paint. I still have to add the number boards and do some overall tidying up but I couldn't resist posting it. Enjoy.

The next one for now is a Dash 8 40C in C&O paint. Again I still have a little finish work to do but I had to share. I also have three more locomotives that I am finishing and will post them as soon as I finish them. Enjoy

Tyler: SWEEEEEET! I really like the SD20-2...now you need an SWMT to go with it!
The modern engines in B&O & C&O look great. Had they survived, that's probably what we would be seeing today.

Thank you sir. I actually lost out on an auction with an SD20-2 and SWMT together and felt bad so when I saw the SD again I snagged it. I'm very pleased with how the modern units turned out. I thought about some modernized version of the old scheme but in the end I felt that I should keep it old school.

Tyler,
Actually, I have a few SWMT's to build. I could build you a SWMT to go with your SD-20-2! ( I have to build a SD-20-2 myself for my SWMT that I have! See picture!

As for the "What If" locomotives, VERY NICE! Altho, I would have made the B&O loco a EMD as they were all EMD and the C&O is SWEET! As its a GE, as they were buying at the time of Chessie!

Cool stuff guys. From my old HO days, I have an CSX F7. The horns are missing, wheels are dirty, and all but one of the outside part of the trucks are long gone. I really didn't take care of that thing .

Well my CSX has been repainted to a MDDE(Maryland & Delaware) color. It's really not pink it's actually red. It's just the camera.

Yeah! i really need a Northeast Corridor layout to run it on. The E44s did run around South Amboy NJ at some point ( i have pictures of them at the old engine yards there) but they really fit the best on a corridor train heading south with cars from the old Ford plant in metuchen/ Edison NJ.  Right now my Catenary is being a pain though, since the solder joints don't seem that strong (they keep breaking).  Right now i'm also short on time, so i haven't been able to hang the wire (i just left it on the bridges for now).

How has your P32AC-DM project been going?  speaking of long island RR stuff, have you checked out Island trains? they have the DE30AC shells that fit AMD 103 chassis for $50.  I'd almost buy one, but i'm saving my old somewhat damaged AMD103 for an NJ transit P40DC project.  I just need the decals.

Say, when you do that NJT P40DC, let me know how you do the disco-colored pinstriping..  If there is one engine I got plenty of, it's the Athearn AMD103 (last year I bought 4 of them for $25 apiece from Toy Train Heaven, precisely for projects like this).  By the time I done with the P32AC-DMs I should still have a couple left over for interesting projects like the NJT P40DC and the LIRR DE/DM30AC.  Those guys selling the DE/DM shells also got the C3 bilevel car resin kits too--  I'd have to scoop up those two items to get myself a complete LIRR train.  They also got resin kits of the new Bombardier M7 EMUs used by the LIRR and Metro North too.

Christmas is coming and Santa knows what to put under my tree.

Sadly, i think i'm gonna have to custom order that decal.  I saw a model of an ALP46, and they had to do the same thing.   it looks super complicated.

Hi danpik, very cool modeling! I used to see Wellsville Addison & Galeton outside braced boxcars on the LV West Pittston Branch all of the time back in the 60's. I think they carried leather to a furniture manufacturer in Kingston Pa.  Thanks for posting the photo. I dont think I have ever seen WA&G modeling before....very cool! Oh yeah......and Welcome to the forum!
