Good to see replica of B & O Hayes. Pages from known B & O History!
It supports a point your writer made just earlier. That being: B & O West
of Cumberland, MD dealt with hill climbing, rather challenging terrain.
Same range of low mountains; in the South called Appalachian Range...

It was a good build. I actually didn't have too many problems with it. As with everything else I've done. It did run very nice. Just the model was larger than the prototype.

A CRR of NJ leased USRA Russian decapod is ready to pull a freight out of the Stevensville yard. It sits waiting for clearance at a switch on the yard ladder next to a CRR of NJ mike. Seen on the mainline another mike pulls a freight of steel mill products, reels of cable and large pipes.

No matter how one slices it, your Hayes replica conveys the spirit and intent of the
B & O Railroad Museum Collection. So it is larger than the actual unit. So what! It
is a solid and correct piece of work...

Vern, we got a blocked main line at Bergen Point. To many Christmass shoppers. It looks like the whole British Railway Historical Society is having a convention here. They have turned the whole main Line into a parking lot.

TKS! Your writer remarks, do not blame this on the Brits. Some may
wonder whether the scene reports every day management of current
day USA Lines? (Best we not name names? Else all of us getting sued?)
A triumph for "...it'll get there!..." service standards?

Vern, OK I'll reword that and make apologies here in this post. Our latest convention revelers are causing undue disturbances and blocking most entrance roads to the downtown area. Their uniquely stylised forms of transportation have stopped egress to our shopping area. There has been a little movement of our railway mainlines and street crossing are open up to allow the local little people to come and join in the celebration of whatever is happening. The partying has spread to one of the roofs. Emergency services have responded with the proper glues and touchup paints to repair any injuries to the populace that may occur due to these celebrations. A tanker truck of dark ale has arrived to fuel the celebrations.
  All is well.

No. It's an old Trainpack by MRC. It's not in use any longer. I just have not removed it. Its been in place for about 20 years and it served me well until I went DCC.

I noticed that too. I had a Trainpack back in the '70s. I have had a lot of MRC power packs over the years. My favorite way back when was the Throttlepack.
