Eastman Kodak continues to downsize its operations in Rochester, NY.  I heard over the past couple years it contracted with Rochester & Southern for in-plant switching.  Another railfan told me the company had someone paint out markings on the switchers, so I stopped to shoot through a fence at KPRR #10, which confirms it.  Kodak railroad employees painted one engine like a film box some years ago, and the company made them paint it over, on account of trademark issues.
#10 is an EMD MP15AC.

Coal is still delivered by CSX on the former NYC branch line.  Rochester & Southern reaches Kodak Park on the former B&O branch line, used to use ex-NYC GP40s for delivery.  Funny how things flipped around.

I took some time in Photoshop to paint out a distracting black cable...

Nice catch! One of the KPRR switchers was painted with flames. Is it still there?

That would probably be SW1000 #8.

Greater Rochester Railfan has a page for KPRR, with a photo by Tom Trencansky:

Photos show it visiting GNW shops at Retsof a year or two back.  It may be long gone.

Kodak has pretty tight security, so I wouldn't know for sure what's up.  The ROW passes under Mt.Read Blvd, on the way to West Kodak and the coal-fired power plant.  You can get a look at the engine house, like I did, or look west toward the unloading spot for the power plant.

Thanks for the tip on the engine house. I hope the SW1000 isn't gone but it wouldn't surprise me if GWI assigned her elsewhere.
