Everyone knows their steam passenger trains, but they have been hauling freight since 1880!

#112 approaches the Java Center station with one empty. They will stop here and refuel #112. Jan. 20, 2014.

#112 is switching the B&P interchange at Arcade Junction. These cars will be taken to North Java on tomorrow's freight run. Jan. 20, 2014.

I live right next to the interchange. I know when they get new cars from the B&P.
 
Plus, it was a Monday. They usually do freight runs on Mondays.

The former wye in Arcade near the enginehouse was torn out last fall and is being replaced thanks to a state grant.

B&P Local BF-1 (out of Buffalo) is switching Arcade Junction with #626 and #1511 as Arcade & Attica #112 watches in the distance.

My son and I drove down to Arcade and rode today's train.....what beautiful day it was. 70 degrees, sunny and a nice breeze. Here are some photos.
 
Here's my boy posing (complete with his cheesy grin ) in front of #18 just before boarding.
 
It was raining cinders a little bit!

Not sure what this business is (was?) but evidently was a customer at some point.

Into the final curve heading back to the Arcade Station......it was a great ride and EVERYONE from the engine crew, conductors and food vendors were incredible friendly and polite.
