RailAmerica paint, not the electronic bell mounted on the widecab. Along with the famous Santa Fe wig wag crossing signals still on the property here, makes for some interesting viewing.

The 3809 has a faded out E&N emblem on the conductor side, for those on this forums most popular board to take note.

Another B&P local was active in Buffalo Creek Yard during the afternoon, with chop-nose ex-N&W Geeps for power:

Glad to see the South Buffalo is still booming, and a nice yard too. Curious where that interesting ex Conrail switcher came from.... Especially since B&P was getting rid of their MP15s.

Out here in Fresno, a former SP motor rests on the SJVR.

The blue ex-Conrail switcher is #1002, a former Reading SW1001. She's been there for a long time. I'm guessing the B&P is keeping a couple of end cab switchers to handles some of the tighter curves on the former SB industrial trackage.

I took the time yesterday (5-19-16) to photograph the Rochester & Southern south out of Rochester, starting at Brooks Ave yard.  BPRR 3101 was leading.  Engine was built as NYC GP40 3056.

Caught the train at Scottsville, then drove to Mumford at the Rt.36 crossing.  I took the time to buy a couple heirloom tomato seedlings at the former B&O depot, then drive to Caledonia and P&L junction.

The salt train consisted of southbound empties, so I planned on shadowing it to Mount Morris, near the mine.  At P&L Jct, the train switched from former B&O trackage to Genesee & Wyoming line to Retsof.

I haven't seen the third unit on the train before this day, BPRR 3050.  The train is crossing Rt.5.

The train was moving fairly slowly, so I had time to look around Retsof before it arrived.  BPRR 1000 was sitting outside the shops, another ex-Reading SW1001.

The southbound train finally arrived and passed other cars on sidings in the old Genesee & Wyoming yard.  A few decades ago, Delaware & Hudson would use trackage rights from Attica to Greigsville to interchange salt cars at this end of the yard.

I photographed the train at Leicester on former DL&W trackage, then moved to Mount Morris/Hampton Corners on the trackage to the mine.  The railroad pulled off two engines to push the train, leaving 3101 leading.

Spotting note... Last few days, an old friend found himself at Phillipsburg, KS. He was surprised to see ARIZONA AND CALIFORNIA RR power
passing thru town. It is a Genesee & Wyoming controlled property. Sorry, no Photos here in support...

Chesapeake & Albemarle Railroad has been hauling a lot of rock out of Virginia to support the wind generation installation down in North Carolina. C&A #502, a GP38 and C&A #1720, a GP9 have one of those rock trains southbound. They just crossed over the drawbridge over the North Landing River on 7/9/16 at 0930Hrs.

That's a common GWI practice. There is a Wellsboro  & Corning RR SD40-2 on the Buffalo & Pittsburgh RR right now. There is also a B&P Geep on WCOR, and a B&P GP40 on the Rochester & Southern.

Meanwhile, a couple of B&P Geeps remain on home rails:
