The GSWR Albany Turn interchanges with the HAL in Arlington, GA, this remote city in southwest Georgia sees 4+ trains a day, the Lynn Freight (based in Arlington), the Albany Turn (based in Dawson), the HAL eastbound and westbound (several hours apart), along with random coal train runs to Hilton, occasional return trips from the Albany turn, and light engine moves.

The city of Shellman, GA along the Georgia Southwestern Railroad is home to two grain customers, both of which have been offline for several years. Both have come back to rail service this year, Quality Gin is seen here loading cars on their sidetrack.

Thanks, Mike and Matt.

You would think having lived in western New York for many years, 30 minutes away from the ALY main, I would have at some point been able to chase the WAER job on the B&P. Not the case, this years vacation trip it was on the docket. The WAER starts its day in Warren, PA which is where we awaited it. Seen here is the 1509 and newcomer to G&W, the 2031. Since it seems the NY/PA Region is leaning towards purging their switcher power with the sale of G&W 45 and 46, this may be my last shot of a switcher on the B&P.... who knows.

Number 46 was sold to Pan Am. I'm gonna miss those SW1500s when they leave Buffalo for good.

Finally have some time off the 1:1 scale to post some shots. The B&P WAER turn heads west bearing down on Corry, PA.

After servicing the former Foamex plant in Corry, the WAER approaches the MS interlocking with the WNYP.

Probably the best shot of the day, although it was rushed.

The CCH Brickyard job brings in a cut form the NS interchange in Columbus, GA with a former EARY unit brought in when the LRWN switchers left the property.
