We thank all of our followers for their support during 2016. The railroad's recently concluded "Santa Train" excursions were well received and patronized, even during the inclement weather of the last weekend. The railroad is now planning for its Spring 2017 reopening --- possibly with an "Easter Bunny" train. Watch for future announcements.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL !

A PIECE OF PRR HISTORY COMING TO STEWARTSTOWN

The Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, is pleased to announce it has received a piece of Pennsylvania Railroad history: former PRR flatcar  #473822 donated to the Friends organization by Norfolk Southern Corporation. We thank Norfolk Southern Corporation for their gift.
The Friends plan to convert the flatcar into an open-air observation car for use in the Stewartstown Railroad’s excursion program. The flatcar, currently located in Columbia, Pennsylvania, not far from Stewartstown, will be moved to Stewartstown by highway.
The Friends organization is accepting donations to raise funds for the flatcar’s move and conversion to an open-air observation car. Those interested in supporting this project may make donations with their bank card via the Friends website at www.stewartstownfriends.org by clicking on the “donations” page, or by mailing a check or money order payable to the Friends of the Stewartstown Railroad to P.O. Box 456, Stewartstown, PA 17363-0456.
We will appreciate your help in preserving a piece of PRR history.
Thank You! --- Ray
