Cool pictures.

Scott Harris came and spoke at the Delmarva Model Railroad Club's annual banquet last night, and he did one heck of a job. Many thanks to him and the railroad for letting him be able to come out and give that presentation.

Everyone wants to see pictures of that thing, but no one really has one. As Scott Harris said Saturday night, "Yes, 802 does exist." Haha.

Jason, how did that happen?

Well there thinking wide gauge from all the quick melt down of the snow. Not really sure thou. That was my first(and hopfully LAST) derailment as an Engineer. Cranemasters has been busy also on both the Federalsburg and Chestertown Lines. In Federalsburg Loco 1203 came off of it's back trucks at a RR Xing the was packed with 6-8 inches of ice. On the Chestertown line Cranemasters was called for a HI Rail Excavator to digout the valleys that were covered with 12+ Ft drifts.

Lets just hope March is a better month for the MDDE.

...and that 1201's rear wheelset came off the rails just east of Kennedyville in said drifts.

This is probably hidden deep within the last 47 pages, but where was 20 moved to after it left the MDDE?

#20 ( I believe) went to a start up railroad in the 1980s named the Arkansas and Missouri. It may still be rostered by them as they are known for having a fleet of ALCOs.

I thought so. Because the other day I saw a picture of a particular number 20 on the A&M. And I couldn't find any hard evidence that was the same one MDDE had. Okay, cool. Thanks.

BTW, here's that one picture I saw.

I just found another picture of 20 and 14 together on the A&M. Doesn't it make you cry for joy.

Here she is in Federalsburg, MD on Aug. 3 1986. Now that is to cry for. I think she headed west not too long after this photo was taken.

Here is some of that A&M Alco power. Be not deceived, this is Seaford, DE not Springdale, AR.
Units #42, a RS32; #12 & #14, both T-6s; #22, a RS1; #52 & #54, both C-420s are ready to head west. 8/3/86
I hope you can forgive the poor scans, I need to get a better scanner!

Wow, that second picture is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Many thanks for sharing. So I'm guessing the MDDE painted the units for the A&M?
