Went out to catch 1201 today.  Talked to the track crew in Barclay who reported that she died up the line and the crew was picked up.
The track crew was working on getting the Old DSD siding in Barclay back in service after 10 years or more to store grain cars.

Well 1202 was able to get the days job done. I found them late today dropping off 22 empties on the line in Price. Then they took 17 more empties to Perdue and dropped them off on the line. The passing track and the spur into perdue were already full of cars. as well as both sidings in Sudlersville. There are more empties on the way.

1202 just North of Price picking up a crew member that was brought around from the rear of the consist as they had done a reverse move from Roberts.

Yes 1201 died. She made it as far as MP 14.2 almost to Speer Rd.
We had to go back and pick-up 1202, pull 1201 and the freight back to Massey. Long day, but we got the job done.

Who's going to the Hurlock Days this year? It's the first Saturday in Oct. My brother and I are going to be conductors again. Here are some pictures from last year.

Jason, do some of these people look familiar?

First picture: Jason is switching the cars back into the siding.

Here's Jason and my brother on the front of 2628.

BTW, does anyone know what engine is running? It's probably 2628 again, right?

90 cars for Perdue are online. They are spaced out around the Centreville line. As of now, there are 35 on the main in Roberts, 29 on the main in Price, 11 in the siding, and 15 in the Sudlersville runaround and storage track. The lineup of these cars sure make an MU (rare on this line) a possibility in the near future, provided 1201 gets back up on its feet and stays there.

As for Hurlock Days, you only get two choices. If the engineer (JB!) is the one from the Snow Hill line, its a very good possibility it'll be 2628.
