It was to go out for repair at some point but has not, so I would say it is not running currently. But I could be wrong. I have spent a day in 1202 and for 50 years and counting she is doing rather well. There are many newer engines no longer running.
As Massey has 1202 and 801 I would guess getting her running is not high on the list of priorities.

You mean the MD&DE engines or other make of engines?
Oh rumor has it that the MD&DE MAY be getting rid of 801 and 802. That's all I know about it.

I think 1203 was in the engine house. Maybe they just figured that 2628 looked better on a passenger train then 1203 would. I don't really know.

Yeah, She seems to have been in there for a long time now... Not just the passenger trains.

Yeah tell me about it. I wonder if they just don't trust 1203 anymore .

Cool pictures. OK, what engine was the power? 1202 or 1201? Or were they both powered?

I'm guess that one of them was a mid train helper?  Also, how many cars were they pulling/pushing?

I would imagine that it was due to the switching being done that the one loco was mid train....appearing as a "helper."

I thought that would get some questions. 1202 was the power 1201 does not currently run and was down there for an event last weekend (see earlier post) It was in the in front of the cars they needed and had to be moved around. As she is most likley not going to run again (at least here) I was trying to get some last time movement shots.
