Today's Star Democrat had a story reporting that a contractor had removed the rails from the Cambridge Branch  north of Washington St. in Cambridge.  that section of the line is not currently used but it is not abandond and the State who owns the track was unaware. The person who was taking the rail out told someone that he was doing it for a rails to trails group, but they also claim to be unaware,as they have no approval from the state. MDDE still uses the line up to just south of this area.

Next I took some shots on the Centreville Branch today.

Some pictures from today. 1202 had just left 2 full cars at Southern States in Carvel and piked up one empty. She is now heading back north.

Nice pics!
I'm hopefully going to Federalsburg, Seaford, and Georgetown tomorrow to see some local stuff... I hope 1203s back on the Seaford line, and im hoping for another CR GP38 in Seaford. And the DCL in Georgetown's always fun to go to, even if nothings running...

Through a project at work I was able to go with 1202 and her crew on the Centreville run today. Joe the engineer and Jason the conductor were great to work with and I thank the RR. A few of the pictures from the trip.

We head to the 24 car siding just north of the Massey engine house to pick up a car.
