I'm not sure about how many carloads they're moving, but I do see the GE's missing from the Reinholds Station a few times a week.

They will operate on the Octoraro line and the Wilmington Northern.

The 7836 was scrapped around the beginning of the summer.  All parts that were useable were taken off for use on the other 2 units like it.  As for running on weekends, only when needed.

Does anyone know what radio frequency the ESPN uses at the Kennett Square Location?

Looks like RS-1 #57 has seen better days. I undertansd it's rotting in place waiting for the private owner to make repairs.

I was up through the denver area recently. Looked like the weyerhaeuser siding hasn't been used in a while, as the weeds have taken over. Nothing at Four Seasons either... and, was I seeing things or may there have been a car at the very end of the line at what used to be Wickes Lumber?  It was hard to see for sure. What is the current level of activity here, anybody know? Thanks. Ken

Hello, I live about ten mins from the LANO shortline near Reinholds. I haven't gotten out there to railfan for at least a year, but here's what I know. The Wickes Lumber was taken over by Bradco and started getting more carloads when it came under new ownership. As I pass there fairly often, I have not seen any carloads for months on end. In fact, the company had some of its buildings knocked down and new buildings are being built in place of the old wooden (i think they were wooden) buildings.

As a sidenote, GP10 57 used to be this line's motive power until the U23Bs 2202 and 2204 took over in around 2004 I think. Just about a year ago, PRL 2202 was in the process of being scrapped and the prime mover being moved up to I think the SP unit up north on another branch. Last I heard of the 2202's body was that she was sitting on a siding somewhere closer to Sinking Spring. The 7874 from Kennett Square is now taking the 2202's place on the LANO.
