Hey, I don't know if any of you have heard this, but a few interesting locomotives have run on my PRL branch (Sinking Spring) in the past. They are: Strasburg #90, and Strasburg Camelback #4 if I remember correctly. I'm not sure if any others have; if so, please let me know! Thank you, and Merry Christmas! --Jeremy Signorelli--

I know them both    and I'm not sure when the 52 will move.   It did have its 92 day inspection done a while back.

I think we met in July at Boyertown right? Were you the fill-in for Gary when he was on vacation in NY? My Dad and I got you lunch in Boyertown I think.

No, it wasn't me.  I am mostly in track service and only go into train service every now and then.  When I do go into train service, I am mostly on the Wilmington Northern, Octoraro Branch, or at Northeast just outside the North East airport in Philly.

Does ESPN now do the service up around NE Philly Airport too?....thought that was still under CR/NS.

drove through denver yesterday and saw a gondola sitting downtown, across the street from the feed mill... is that a revenue car? i had another question regarding this line. is steelco, up in sinking spring, serviced by the same crew that comes down into denver?  how does that operation work? thanks... ken

The gon is a revenue car. The crew will work from Reinholds up to Steelco to pull empties then proceed to Denver to pull cars from the other customers. It is a bit of backtracking  but that is the only way at the present time to do that. At some point we may put in a switch on the other end of the Sinking Spring runner.

hi..got through denver late yesterday afternoon... noticed two things... looks like there is a new (to me anyway) siding, with a car on it, south of main street... and looks like amerigas is getting cars for the first time in many years(there were, i think, two, wedged into that siding)... so maybe things will pick up a bit on this line... hopefully... even though it's still slow with the lumber companies......ken

That siding south of main st is the denver cold storage siding. The car there and the car at Amerigas are both cars in for storage. Amerigas has not gotten cars in a long time and i  believe there are no plans for them to either.
