Well, they are still out there. Some are more modified then others, but they still pull good and sound great. NS #3524 is crossing the Dan River southbound at Danville, VA on 1/6/17 at 1158Hrs. Speculation is the original Southern signals won't last long. The proof hides in the background.

It took me a while to bag an SD40-2 this year, but I finally caught one leading a hefty local freight. Number 3511 leads NS H42 west through the countryside:

The 5700 would look nice with a coat of Cornell Red. Already enough black and white locomotives running around PA, especially in ex Valley country!

I keep hoping Steve may will repaint all of his power into Cornell red, but I won't hold my breath!

On 5/27/17 I found this view in Roanoke, VA. While the #3288 & #3220 have new cabs, they are still working. The caboose is a "no charge" extra to the photo.
