Found this guy resting near the roundhouse at Wells, MI on 7/12/13. The Escanaba & Lake Superior Railroad used to have a fair number of Baldwin Locomotives on their roster. Looks like most, if not all are no longer operational. CHESSIEMIKE

Found this SD40-2 setting at Auville Yard at Iaeger, WV on the Dry Fork Branch back in March. Kind of neat seeing two workhorses of the Southern Railway on coal service in the day and age of high powered AC units.

R J Corman has a number of SD40-2s still in service. Here we have #3676, Ex-UP #3676 EMD 7/79 and #3478, Ex-UP #3478 EMD 5/78 pulling on a coal train at Burnside, PA at 1210Hrs on Aug. 12, 2013. CHESSIEMIKE

Five days later, I saw 2 SD40-2s on different RRs at Buffalo Creek Junction. First up is Norfolk Southern #3410, which was returning light after a short run as the power for local H0K. A shor ttime later, CSX had #8100 as the trailing unit on a unit caol train which was probably bound for Somerset. All photos in this post were taken by me Friday 9/13/2013 in Buffalo, NY.
