What, are all your pixels frozen? Here is H773-04 backing down the Amoco Branch on a clear but cold and windy Jan. 4, 2010.

CSX #8536 is one of them thar SD50-3s. He was the leader on T16514. Caught him at MP23 on the Peninsula Sub 1/19/10 @ 0735hrs. It started life as a Seabord SD50

Caught H707-27 stopped at Marmet last night with the CSXT 6415 leading with the 2331 trailing.

CSXT 6415 was formerly Chessie/C&O 4277 in her past life.
CSXT 2331 was formerly Chessie/B&O 3740 in her past life.

Eastbound coal trains run between snow storms. There was a major one the last weekend in January and left this scene for me on 2/1/10 at 1300hrs. CSXT #469 & #225, both CW44ACs, have things well in hand as they come to a stop at CA22.5 to wait their turn to head into Newport News yard. The National Weather Service is calling for another storm to skirt the area this weekend.

Another storm rolled through but southeastern Virginia was on the edge. No trains were running so I tried a signal shot. Peninsula Sub CA29.2 2000hrs on 2/6/10.

We need some more EMDs in this thread. Here we have U18103, a eastbound coal train on the Peninsula Sub near MP20 on 3/5/10 at 1225hrs. #4702, a SD70MAC leads #86, a CW44AC. I understand coal traffic is on the rise and we should be seeing a greater mix of power.

Went out over the past two weekends to do some foaming and needless to say I wasn't disappointed. Made me happy to catch these guys hauling the money around.

Here is the T182 heading eastbound on number two track. The leader is one of them thar SD50-3s. Trailing unit wasn't bad either since it was one of Conrail CW40-8s still in the "Can Opener" scheme.

Went up to Montgomery on the New River Sub on Sunday and caught 7322 crossing over from two track over to track one with the 4527 and a T693 behind it.

Caught CSXT 4812 and another SD70AC Tier-1 on a T913 the other day in the snow.

The 4726 passed through on Saturday with an AC44 and a loaded U281-04 heading eastwards for the port in the Tidewater of Virginia.

This last photo was taken on the 2-20-2010 and is Q302-19 with 7734 in brand spanking new YN3 paint. Not to mention that he had almost one hundred and twenty cars behind him.
