Note on the back of this print says "in use on Grand River Rly."  Plow #400893 and probably a flanger #400460 at Galt, Ontario in June 1946.  Probably not "working" that time of year.

Another round, to start the day off right...  Most of these had no location or date.
Pacific 2537; look at the size of this train.

John's collection include several CP 4-4-4's.  Can't think of any other North American railroad I've seen these on.

CP 3002, with some nice stripes on the round pilot.  Looks like the 4-4-4's were passenger power.

Another batch, many without date or location...
CP 4-6-2 1102.  Looks like one of the earliest of these photos, with large road number on the tender and headlight mounting.

A couple kids checking out CP 4-6-4 2810 - maybe dad's on the engine.  Car by the station might help date this.

CP 4-6-2 2572.  Looks like prairie-land, with a grain elevator in the background.

CP 6608 caught at a bad moment at Grenfell, SK, Feb 22 2012.  The three engines had just made up a grain train at the concrete terminal just west of town, and were gathering speed eastbound.  At regular intervals, say at the count of seven, 6608 would let out two heavy belches of black smoke, then carry on.  She was doing that a while later when the same three engines came back westbound through town, probably pulling the same train by the opposite end, with 3070 leading..

In September 1978, CP was absorbing TH&B.  Railfans at Bayview Junction encouraged me to visit the TH&B shops in Hamilton, where I found CP 8150 standing by.  I found some more contemporary photos of 8150, operating as SM 506 in St. Marys, Georgia.

Just found this rail photo website; thought some CP fans might appreciate this page - some older MLW and EMD units:
