Monday I was lucky enough to catch the D&H train (symbol 30J while on NS rails) at Port Kennedy, PA.  Unfortunately for fans of vintage power, the once common strings of four or more SD40-2s have given way to pairs of widecabs.

Found these three switching a train out of the IPSCO steel palnt north of Regina, SK March 29/06.  Taken through the windshield and in poor light.  Smart lookin' engines.  Note the odd stacks (for CP) on the 1593.

DID that unit come from broadview or brandon i imagine broadview to bring a solo AC4400CW from brandon to regina by itself is kinda odd with being at broadview and just goin up lite be more reasonable

Here is a shot of one of CP's two rail pick-up trains on the Windermere sub near Fairmont, British Columbia.  The steel gang had just laid new rail, then this train was sent in to pick up the old rail which will be reused elsewhere in the system.  This rail was sent to somewhere in New York state.

Wow, the SS United States is in sad shape. Hopefully it can be restored soon, even if they fix it up like the Queen Mary.

It's looking worse than the old Queen of Sidney.
