Good to know you're out there, Charlie. In this time of heightened security alerts, somebody's gotta keep an eye on them furriners! And hey, how does a Canadian train get priority over good ol' made-in-America CSX -- on its own rails? Is this a NAFTA thing?

Just joshin' - great stroke of trainwatching luck, and a nice photo catch. Love CP Rail power, no matter how un-"remarkable."

CP tends to rely on its older workhorses to pull the thrice weekly D&H train into Philly.  Here's a "going away" shot of last Wednesday's train, heading toward CP Belmont.

Now that's what the front of a CP train should look like..not a GE in sight! Very refreshing! Too bad it's not like that here in the west anymore....

Can't agree more, those GEs (any GE for that matter) have to be the ugliest monstrosities ever built.

Here is the SOO 6611 on the train CP 410 in Allentown, Pa.  The person walking along the track is a CP inspector who just got off the train.

I agree with you 100%.I see those engines in ST.Paul yard all the time. What has EMD come to with the SD70ACE's. It looks more like a GE now

With CP's regular Philly switcher #7309 away for repairs, and replacement GP9u #1652 gone as well, switching duties last week fell to #7308, an ex-D&H, exx-LV unit in STL&H paint...

If you look closely you might see some LV paint showing thru.
The LV lives!

i was looking for the right topic to ask this question in, this is the best i could find because it seems pretty active. There are rumors that CP has purchase the ex Reading 4-8-4 #2100. Is there any validity to this? If no one knows can anyone refer me somewhere that i could find out for sure, or close to it? Very exciting/interesting rumor, hopefully someone can set it straight unless i missed something. Thank You.
