Some days, the most interesting person you meet is a river with a train running beside it.

Caught up with some CP power moving some covered hoppers at the Delaware-Lackawanna yard near Steamtown in Scranton.  Got some nice views from the bridge...

In the first photo that almost looks like Hagadorn Rd. on the GT Flint Sub but I don't recognize where that 2nd photo is . Were those pics taken on the CSX line ?

Nice shots all around guys. I dont have any pics to share because I live in Pennsylvania and I dont get to see much CP stuff around here except for the 410/411 and 166/167 that I always seem to miss.   And usually they run at night which dont make it any better for pics.

The CP 9000 series locos are SD40F-2's. I think they are from the last order of SD40's built by GM.

O Canada!

It's been a long time coming, but I finally caught the D&H stack train rumbling thru Abrams Yard on its way to Philly.  Just luck too. Saw that CSX wb stack Q190 was being held at CP Rock...and the only thing that could hold one prioriry train is...you guessed it...a higher priority train.  A few minutes after I got to Abrams, she came on thru.

Power was nothing remarkable... but well worth adding this shot to my collection.
