Caught this engine just pulling out of Melville yard last week.  It is a GE, I realize, but I can't say I remember seeing a big one like this with a regular cab.  Can someone enighten me?  Thanks.

This is one of the C40-8's as discribed in that thread on this page.  I saw that engine come though Edmonton the other day along with many others in the last few weeks.  Its an interesting change from the "usual".

CN 2131 is ex-UP 9096, nee-CNW 8548

Some people are calling them C41's.. but they were built as C-40 Dash 8's.. and that's what CN calls 'em... so..
