By the looks of that photo the engine does not want to leave NS.

The engine might never come to Ringoes.   BDRV 1850,1856 have yet to make it to Ringoes as well.  1848 and 1849 havent seen the BR&W since the turn of the century.

Well, I'm confused! The website mentions it coming to Ringoes for use, but I'm also hearing its going to Kinder-Morgan at the old USS mill in Fairless, who blew the engine on 1848?
Anyone know?

What web site is telling you #9581 is coming to Ringoes?  #1848 was last on lease to Kinder Morgan in Fairless, PA.  It is now at the W&W shops in Bridgeton NJ, there are no plans for the engine at this time.

Its on page one of this thread, and I'd swear it said that on the brwrr site when it was first reported bought by the BRW. The picture & info. has since changed.

It was speculated by EVERYONE to come to Ringoes.  The BRW never said on BRWRR.com it was coming to Ringoes.   If the KB Service freight picks up to whats forcasted in the future, it may come to the BR&W.  For now expect to see it on the Sand Trains on the W&W.

Still down in Bridgeton.  The W&W uses it some weeks on the interchange runs to Millville and some days on the sand trains.   Word is they really like the engine.

#9581 is on lease to Kinder Morgan.   SW1200RS #8142 will be joining her down there shortly.

Indeed.  MDDE #802 has been purchased by the BRW/BDRV and will turn into BDRV #908.  This unit is expected to move to Newport News as well after the new year.

Well #908 has made it to Newport News, VA. It came to Pier IX on 6/11/12. Here it is getting remote control equipment installed. Pier IX security is very tight and photography is prohibited. Don't go trying to sneak a photo down there. I had permission to take this one.
