Engine Discussion: 1202
 
I thought in celebration with the newest addition to Ringoes, I would start a 1202 thread like the other engines have. Iíll get pictures of my own on the 21st
From The Black River Railroad:
1200 H.P. EMD SW-1200 Built 1956
 
Purchased 2003. Formerly Reading & Northern #1202 / CR #9366 / PC #9183 / NH #643 / EMD b/n 21168.  
Currently assigned to freight and passenger service on the BR&W Railroad.

Though I love that paint scheme, it would've been neat to have this painted in New Haven, or even a New Haven-inspired paint job.
 
Hopefully it has a decient horn (if it's ex-CR, I'm sure it has a Leslie RS3L).

It's a pretty sharp lookin engine.
 
I agree about the paint scheme, looks fantastic. Still, I'm curious about how it would look in black instead of green...

The black & white paint scheme is used on the lease fleet - units owned by the BR&W but leased out.
 
As for comparison, the 1202 is a SW1200 whereas the both 8142 and 8159 are SW1200RS units - they have road switcher trucks and both are ex-CN units.
