That's really cool. Do you think 8159 will ever be painted like her sister in BLACK RIVER paint?

It's not odd, the page was last updated in the year 2003, 4 years ago! Not complicated. That was back when the "Delaware Turtle" was still in Florida but already owned by the BR&W.

I don't think that it is a good idea to be posting every photo we have of each engine when they were already posted in the Photo tread. But I will post one anyway.

Sure it might but it costs money to repaint an engine. I would like 8159 to go into a red version of what 8142 has now but only time will tell.

8142 is at the Bel-Del. It has been there for quite a while. It is a fine machine.

8159 has been at Ringoes over a year. I don't remember exactly how long it has been there. It replaced 1853, 1854. It does not work anywhere else.

In my opion 8159 is a really good engine to work Ringoes, and she does it well, but what happened to 1853. I was asking myself that my entire trip. I had just asumed she was in Three Bridge

A perfectly good question. I will answer it as soon as I find the info. and picture of 1853 in the consist on the move down south. I believe West Virginia coal mining country is where she now works.

Hi. We know each other very well. Maybe you can fill in the blanks. You are certainly more up to date on BRW than I am. As you know I spend most of my time with 142.  Jim.

That is a Photoshop image.  She Left the BR&W in 2007 without BLACK RIVER lettering and that photo was taken coming into Ringoes Station.
