I think you will all find this very interesting...

The Box Tops, a band from the late 60’s who apparently had a liking for #60!

I don’t know who they were, really, or what their music was like…

Very strange, don’t you think? Anyone else ever hear of these guys?

Very interesting Joe. They look like a Beatles spin-off.

The album "Non Stop" with 60 on the cover feathured one of their hits "Choo Choo Train"  which was written in 1968.  Which explains those pictures of 60 which I guess would mean they were taken in 1968 or aound that time.  Information about the band from my awsome girlfriend.

Well you can't really blame them I mean, if I had a band I would want 60 on my CD cover.

I would not be surprised if they were told to do the cover like that

Gosh, they were the ones responsible for the 1967 hit, "The Letter", which does include the line "ain't got time to take a fast train".

This particular album  (vinyl LP, gang) was released in July 1968.  The back cover indicates that it was shot at the "Black River Railroad", Ringoes, NJ.

I don't know if any of the band members were railfans, but musicians have an affinity for the rails.  There are lots of songs about trains (See the old Concourse section of this forum) and that is how many groups and orchestras traveled up into the late 1950's.  There is a rhythm to riding the rails, especially since they didnt have CWR back then.  Not to mention that there is a certain power associated with locomotives.

Heck, even Frank Sinatra had a huge model train layout in one of his homes.
