I'm looking forward to the display Joe........Well, it's a week until the event. Who is defiantly going?

I'll be there on Saturday with my dad. We will be wearing Strasburg Railroad stuff and if it is cool I'll wear overalls

I have 2 questions for you guys,

1. Are the train trips to ringoes round trip?

2. What do they mean by caboose ride? I get they might but a caboose at the end of the train but the schedule has is down on 2 different times.

Thanks,
Anthony

Anthony, there are round trips from ringoes to flemington on both days, and why there are 2 schedules?, well one is for the passenger train, and the other is the caboose train, on one of the trains you will have 752 and the 3 coaches, on the other train, you will have 8159 the switcher with 3 or 4 cabooses, just arriving on time for the passenger to leave.  Here is an example....the first train to leave ringoes at 10:45 will be the passenger, then 15 minutes later, the caboose train will follow it. when the passenger gets to flemington, they have 15 minutes to turn around on the runaround, by the time the passenger is finished, the caboose train will pull into the curved part of the switch while the passenger train is on the straight part, so that once the passenger leaves, then the switcher can run around on the main and then follow the passenger back to ringoes, then the process repeats...also at ringoes there will be stuff to do, so if you take the train from flemington, then you can stay at ringoes all day then take one of the later trains back.  Hope to see most of you there.

Joe

Joe, going by what you said the Caboose train just fallows the Passenger this year, is this how they are doing it this year in stead of using the old CNJ station? Or am I just not understanding you?

I dont know if they are using the old CNJ station there is no runaround there but i do know that the caboose train IS going to be following the passenger. I guess well see what happens, but it wont matter to me cause i'll be in ringoes.

Caboose trains are not running North of Flemington station this time.

Saturday was an bad day and a good day...so let me explain...the bad part of the day was my DCS and TMCC werent working in the morning ...so i could only run my trains conventional.  but the good part of the day was getting to ride up to the runaround at ringoes, riding in the passenger and caboose train, and seeing anthony and colin. OH and saturday i brought the good memory card so i got alot of pictures.

Anthony i saw you and your dad taking alot of photos...do you want to post any?

Colin...you have to ring that bell way harder...it didnt even do a flip.

I must say, I really enjoyed my first trip with many more coming to the BRW. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe and his dad, Colin and Christian. I took about 130 pictures so Iíll start posting them in the photo thread.
