Hi,

If friction Bearing Truck are in Ringoes? And NS does not like Friction Trucks. Then what is under the passenger coach 1009?? Would it not be ready to move to Ringoes over NS??

I wish things were moving that quickly, but the trucks in Ringoes do not belong to the 1009.  I believe these are to be converted and loaned to the trust for the move of the 1009.

The two friction bearing trucks at Ringoes next to the engine house are being converted to roller bearing. They will then be trucked to P'burg and placed under the 1009 to allow to be moved to Three Bridges via NS. Once in Ringoes, the roller bearing trucks will be removed from the 1009 and it will be returned to its original trucks that are currently under the car. The set of roller bearing trucks will be kept on hand for use in "ferry moves" like this in case we aquire other friction bearing equipment.

Yes, it's true.....(gasp)....we're planning ahead.

I hope that's primer paint.

Nice to hear the progress. Don't forget it takes some small steps for a huge jump in progress

Who knows.

Maybe the same Volunteers who painted the building pink are in line to paint the steam engine.

Imagine that, a Pink Steamengine coming down the line.
Sounds to me it could be Thomas the Tank Engine's Girl Friend.

Just wondering, where did the friction bearing trucks that are to be converted to roller bearing come from?

They're from a coach that the BRW purchased in Pittsburg, PA awhile back for the purpose of getting those trucks. The car was scrapped and the trucks were trucked to Ringoes.

I don't know anything else about the coach they came from.

APRIL FOOLS lol.

The engine house should be painted yellow with green trim, like the air shed seen to the right in the picture.

I'm confused. Has the engine house actually been pink or is that primer. If not that is a very good photo edit. It looks like primer to me

The rr has a deal with KB Services, the new freight customer at Ringoes Yard. They are doing the painting for us. The pink paint is indeed primer. The building used to be yellow and it's going to be red...so it definitely needs primer first.

Sorry, no pink steam engines in the forseeable future. Although after seeing the explosion of posts here after posting that picture, I considered having my wife photoshop me up a pink #60 just to stoke the fire. But El Presidente talked me out of it....oh well. Maybe another time.

Mr. Shea,

It would be kind-of funny just to see a "Pink Locomotive".
May be you should have a photo of 60 colorized in pink.
And then just show it to "el presidente" (aka: Mr Burenga), just for laughs.
