No. The Delaware River Railroad is a totally different and separate operation than the Black River & Western, even though they may share the same owner.

Uh... Dunno...

My vote is to keep the Bel-Del thread in the Tourist Railroad section.

I thought the Bel-Del was the Belvidere & Delaware, not the Delaware River RR?

The actual name of the tourist operation is the Delaware River Railroad, which is operated by the New York Susquehanna & Western Technical & Historical Society. It runs on the tracks of the Belvidere & Delaware Railroad (which I believe is owned and operated by the BR&W), but is not necessarily associated with it, to my knowledge. "Bel-Del" is actually just a moniker coined by rail enthusiasts referring to the line on which the Delaware River Railroad operates. Otherwise, the two names have no real connection. At first I was confused too.

Although the line is operated in partnership with the Black River & Western, the Delaware River RR has no official connection with the BR&W, and is a separate operation run by a separate group, the NYSWT&HS.

So your saying we should not talk about what #142 does on the Bel-Del but talking about Bel-Del freight oakay, I am not shure, I mean the the ""Delaware River Railroad"" uses teckets that have #60 on it come on!

Actually, to my knowledge, the railroad (including the tourist operation) is really called the Belvidere & Delaware River Railroad. So, my 2 cents is to post everything about the Bel-Del and what's operated on the line in the "Bel-Del" thread, including 142 and the tourist operation.

BTW, the tourist operation is run by the Bel-Del, BR&W, and NYS&WTHS, all together, not just the NYS&WTHS.

The Bel Del is a nickname for the Belvidere & Delaware a branch of the former Pennsylvania Railroad Company.

It has been known as the Bel - Del for more then 100 years.
