Today was a very busy day at the RailRoad, There were three trains, The freight train, a charter train, and the Delaware turtle witch was the regular train. It was cool seeing them all in the yard at the same time!(videos of that at another time)

Nice shots, sgp! I made a short visit to the BR&W yesterday afternoon, and had a chance to see both trains in action as well. There are quite a few interesting pieces of equipment stored in the Ringoes yard. This little engine is undergoing a slow cosmetic resotration, and is currently on display across the tracks from the station.

This ex-CP Rail unit is used for freight service, and was parked in the station siding during our visit.

The PRR Doodlebug is privately owned, and will run on the BR&W once restoration is complete. Recently it received a brand new wooden roof, but there is still plenty of work to be done before it can operate again.

No. 60 is coming along slowly but surely. Repairs to the water tank on the tender were recently completed, and the main drive pistons have been repaired and installed. Someday in the near future she'll be steaming over the BR&W once again...

The Delaware Turtle pulls in to unload passengers. The last trip of the day was handled by #752.

Done for the day, the Turtle has her air dumped before being put away for the night. She will be running again next weekend for the last time this year, so be sure to make the trip out to see her before she is put away for the winter!

I had a great time at the railroad, and hope to visit again next year for a ride in the Turtle, and maybe even for Railfan Weekend. Thanks for looking!

The NH&I and the BR&W are great to do in one shot...and I'm glad to see you did that! Excellent photos. If I had known they were running two trains, I would have made it over there.

Hi All,

Nice photos, but you seem to be telling me there is no active steamer available at present.

Show you how far back I go with them, the last time I was there a beautiful Pacific was doing the honors, and I was able to talk my way into a cab ride in good old # 148. Great ride. Since then, I rode behind an old RS Alco unit that had been fitted with the steam whistle from an old steamer. Didn't quite sound right when powered by air pressure, but it helped a bit.
