Chris -
Great set of pix.  Sorry to hear #60 will be in the shop awhile longer.  But you had some great weather for the diesel...nice light.

Got lucky riding the 12:15 from Ringoes on July 31.  After 1853 ran around the train in flemington, 752 came along with three covered hoppers.

Hi all,
Today (9/4/05) I rode the BR&W for the first time in 5 years. Man, did it bring back memories of me and ol' 60. The said they're hopin' for 2007 for when she will pound the rails of the BR&W again.  I had a good time, but it made me kinda sad, because the last time I rode the BR&W was September 2000 when 60 was running. But, the ride was scenic and relaxing.

Here's Ringoes Yards. Steam once came here...

I was kinda hoping for 1853, but 752 was cool too I guess.

Thanks for the kind words, Joe. I miss 60 A LOT. All I know is, the first day she's out and running, I'll be there!

Nice shot! Boy do I miss #60.

Colin- that's really nice. It seems like a lot of Tourist Railroads were gettin' up'n running in 1966.

BTW- where'd they get the RDG coaches from? Do they still have'em? I wonder if the NH&I or WK&S has'em now.

  Colin,

These two pictures are for you. Plus anyone else that misses the #60.  I visited the railroad in the summer of 1970. And, of course rode behind #60. For some reason, I did not have my old instamatic with me, so I purchased every post card they had in the gift shop. These two, I feel say it all. I only wish I could put in the sound of the whistle, plus the exhaust.

   Take care,

   Bruce
