Outstanding work guys glad to see the fruits of your labor paying off and coming out of the tunnel!
 
I see their is a photo shoot scheduled for Sept 4th. Would it be safe to assume 60 will be the star? You can sign me up

By Photo Shoot i think you me Photo Freight.   There is a Photo Freight scheduled for May 28th also, but I don't expect #60 to be ready for that.

yup, I did mean freight, haha.
 
I figured she would not be a go for the one in 2 weeks, my hopes are for labor days weekend. Got to buy those tickets in advance, good stuff

Update:  
 
   Tender wheel changeout was completed on Sunday May 15.   Plan is to re-mate with engine on Saturday May 21.

she is an ALCo, that comes from the Great Western RR

As for the class, I understand she was a one-off for the Great Western since they were short and Alco could deliver faster than Baldwin for the one engine (supposedly she was already built and just waiting for sale).  All the rest of the GW engines are Baldwins as I'm told.  i.e. No class per say.

My wife and i had 2 nice trips over the weekend with the BRW.
#60 is scheduled to be inspected by federal inspectors this week.
She should pass with no problems.  Let's hope we see her running trips in the near future.
