That's when 60 looked good. I noticed an air-rocker on the bell... and supposedly just got a new one. Anyone wanna shed light onto my confusion?

I believe #60 has always had an air rocker. It actually works right now from what I've been told.

Where is the station these days?  I haven't been to Flemington since maybe the early 90s.

The station is in Liberty Village now. back then the station was located at the end of the PRR track. I believe that is where the PRR interchanged with the LV.

Just an update.

The FRA has been called and a Hydo test has been scheduled for some time in September.

They interchanged here? As far as I know, the LV branch ended about 2 blocks north. I figured they did all the interchanging in Phillipsburg.

Replace lv with CNJ and see what you get. Everyone gets mixed up sometime.

And in regards to the FRA Hydro test all I can say is Finally!

All the superheaters have been placed in! We are getting there. Still waiting on the FRA though. We are trying.

Apparently FRA will do their hydro test when they feel like it.

Volunteer Dick Hague sent me some recent pictures of the steam crew working on #60. They were installing the superheaters that day.

#60 has passed the FRA Hrdro.   The boiler face plate has gone back on.  Next will be the Boiler Jacket.   Once the brake stand is installed and one spring is replaced she should be good to go.  Unfortunally there arent many operating weekends left in 2008, but things look steamy for 2009.

This is not this information that I have received. 60 did NOT pass the Hydro Test. The information that I have received was that the inspector came in, did the test and found some small leaks. The crew was then instructed to fix the leaks and when they were fixed, to call back for another Hydro test. In the mean time, they were given permission to put everything else back together again. The inspector will come back for a 2nd Hydro test to make sure all the leaks have been fixed. I think they were all in the fire box.

That sounds abit odd to me.  I was up there Friday afternoon/night and we were told it had passed.

I have my sources, you have your sources.  Perhaps someone can clarify all this.
