   Why is Amtrak Running on the BNSF Stockton Sub?

Why is Amtrak Running on the BNSF Stockton Sub?

Today while rail fanning I was surprised to see an Amtrak San Joaquin or Capitol Corridor (Im not sure which one) train running on the BNSF Stockton sub at Christie, CA. This is normally a freight only route. Any idea why they got re routed?

Maintenance work on the UP line.
