I have been interested in pursuing a conductor career with the burlington northern santa fe railway upon graduation of high school in 2011, but before I begin a conductor career with the bnsf railway, I have been interested in the national academy of railroad sciences conductor training program, and was wondering, should I take the conductor certificate, or associates degree?
also, when/if i start a career with bnsf as a conductor, I realize that the next career is locomotive engineer, but was wondering whether or not I need a degree in order to obtain a management job with the bnsf railway, such as trainmaster, yardmaster, terminal manager, and so on.
