Does anyone out there (particularly BNSF employees) have any knowledge as to how the new SD70ACe's and ES44AC's are performing in coal train service, such as DPU's or on heavy grades, steep curves, etc.?  Given that the SD70ACe's have radial trucks, and the ES44AC's do not have GE's steerable truck, is there any data or information out there as to whether the EMD's have a noticeable performance advantage on heavily-curved routes?

I cant speak for most of what you asked but if you look at the numbers the ES44AC have an edge... Its a shame I am a EMD fan!
Weight:   415,000 lbs.
Prime mover:  12-cyl "GEVO"      
Horsepower:   4,400
Tractive Effort: 166,000 lbs.
Weight:   420,000 lbs.
Prime mover:  16-cyl 710G3C-EST2
Horsepower:   4,300
Tractive Effort: 157,000 lbs.
