Here's a couple pictures I took at Ibis, CA along BNSF's Needles Sub where the WB track splits way to the north to give a better alignment up Goffs Hill.

I'll try to keep it to 800 pixels wide from now on!

Here's a couple shots I took along the Seligman Sub in Arizona. First one is east of Williams, and the second is in the canyons east of Peach Springs.

Same train as above, but with more pixels. 500 wide is small... These are headed for the Boeing plant in Wa.

Here's some more Needles sub action. I took these last Saturday during a fantastic day of trainwatching. First two are at Ludlow.

One neat catch was the MSTS unit at Ash Hill. I've always wanted to see this one, and I finally caught it!

As an East-coast guy taking a trip into the American South West, i was awe-struck by the scenery.

"Pumpkins" are rare in my part of the country, and the mountains all have trees on them, so pictures like this are a 180 from my normal collection.

Powell, Wyoming on August 25th: Geeps....ATSF GP39-2 and BN GP38-2, roll toward Billings. Beautiful little town.

After years of wanting to visit, I finally trekked to Tehachapi this last weekend and fanned for parts of 3 days. Here are a handful of shots I took during my time there.

First shot, I am standing above the loop, in awe that I'm actually here. BNSF 6046 is in control of a unit steel coil train in the siding and will be meeting BNSF 5247 which can be seen to the right, winding his way towards the loop.

Standing at Bealville after an hour lull in trains, BNSF 7688 showed up and provided a nice show. Right above the locomotive you can see the last cars of the train still passing through Cliff.

The DPUs are along for the ride on this train winding down Caliente Creek

Finally, a BNSF intermodal makes a fine sight in the morning light at Caliente.

More pictures can be found in the UP Photo Thread. Hope you enjoyed my pictures.
