RS-18's  (correct identification?) doing switching duties in the yard.  The highway 97 overpass is a great spot to photo the yard, although it is suicide to try and cross from side to side.  All the local traffic and through-traffic has to funnel down two lanes.

The only picture I have worth posting of the return trip to Vancouver on the 31st of October (The final FINAL run) is this one at the Williams Lake Station, where there was a small local protest of the passenbger service shutdown.  This delayed the train, causing this freight behind us to catch right up on our tail.

* "Built in 1093 under contract to Russell Snowplows, this snowplow is the reason for the existence of the Museum. Originally designed for Prairie use, the plow has seen a number of modifications to suit the more rugged environment in which it had to operate. The plow saw active service on the PGE tracks between Squamish and Lillooet until 1950 when it was replaced with new steel plows. It was sent to Lillooet and later came to Prince George when the line to Fort St. John was opened. The PGE used this plow to clear Northwood Pulp and Timber trackage in 1966-1967. Northwood purchased it in 1967. In the early 1980s, after a couple of moves, it was put on display next to the pulpmill offices. The Museum's founding members undertook its restoration. " *

Also, Passenger Trains are not completly gone from BC Rail.

Do not forget the agreement with the Native bands southwest of Lillooet, BC that passenger service was required in order to run the line through their lands.....

See Photo!  Look carefully in front of the Lillooet Station!

Where did it go?  Alberta?

The Royal Hudson Loco is in Squamish....    Along with some rolling stock.
Some other rolling stock went with 3716 to Summerland, BC.

BCOL C36-8(rebuilt from Dash 7) 3624 trailing a CN Dash 9 and a CN SD70I heading west out of Jasper, probably bound for Prince George.

I caught this SD40-2 this past summer in Landis, NC. Still has BC Rail with paint overspray on the lettering.
