Anybody have any updates about the status of the Clayburn interlocking? I thought I noticed last week that the bungalow protecting the crossing is missing, although the signal masts were still up.

I have heard that it has been removed along with all the mechanisms. I was also told there is garbage bags over the semaphores. But I have not been able to confirm this. I am hoping to go down to the coast on the long weekend and check it out for my self.

Well, I plan to drive out there tomorrow, so hopefully there is still something to see.

I took a whack-load of photos and a couple videos about two months ago...glad I did. Bungalow was still there, and yes, bags on the semaphores. The interlocking rodding that traveled along the ground through the pulley guide-wheels had been all torn up and removed, although many bases were still in place. Very sad to see another piece of vintage railroading disappear. Mill_Bay, if you have any pics, please post 'em...I will try to get mine up soon too. Thanks for the updates!

I don't have any pictures from recently. I took a few a couple years ago, but I always wanted to get back there to get some pictures at sunset for low evening light, but it never happened. *sigh* . I would have no idea where else one can go to actually get pictures of a working semaphore interlocking now.

This summer while driving home along the Lougheed highway, I made my girlfriend make a slight detour at Mission to confirm Clayburns demise. We did not even have to stop, just pulled a U turn in the farmers market and kept going. I want to remember it for what it once was.

Sorry for the thread bump but the semaphores were all stolen off the masts during daylight hours around February 6th, 2016 just days before SRY was to remove them and donate them to the FVHRS. The theft has been reported to the police.
