According to AMTRAK, the flooding in Colorado has caused a diversion of the CZ, until the Moffat Route is fixed. Buses to serve Glenwood Springs Grand junction, Helper etc between Denver and Salt Lake.

They say no changes between Chicago and Denver and Salt Lake City nd the West Coast, and that there will be no stops between Denver and SLC. Mention is made of travel over the original Transcon, so presume they are going north to Cheyenne and then turn west until they get to the route to SLC and turn south.

Found it a trifle surprising, as I would have thought that the rails from Denver to Cheyenne would have taken damage like the roads east of Boulder and onto the plains. Ah well, so it goes. If i had lots of time and money, I'd take the CZ just to get the unusual mileage. But at the moment, i have neither...
