A few minutes later, this Westbounder rolled through.  Even I'm surprised at the clarity of this picture; that cab car's going close to triple digit speeds.

I caught this Eastbounder at the bridge over Route 340 in Bird-in-Hand.  The bridge was built in 1928.  The engineer also tooted four times, kudos to them!

Enjoy.

I usually spend Turkey Sunday trackside, watching the Amtrak traffic and hoping for some borrowed NJT or Marc equipment. This year, my daughter came with me, but was more interested in the trackside playground. So while I did see 2 AEM-7's, 2 Acela train sets, 2 Septa locals, a string of NJT m.u.'s, and an Amtrak HHP-8...I only got one photo.

No worries, tho. Being Daddy to my baby girl makes it all ok.

My travels took me to Randall's Island, New York City, today. Nice view of the Hell Gate.

Hey Mike. Yeh, I haven't had time to get trackside recently. Resigned my RF.net mod duties as well. Just by luck was at Randall's Island on Saturday.

Amtrak #120 leads train #194 through the first curve on its route from Newport News VA on a cold gray winter morning. The sun is trying to cut through the clouds and provide a little warmth, but it won't succeed. 0906Hrs, 12/18/10.

Last one for the year for me. Amtrak Train #66 is still working on getting up to track speed as he passes CSX Train U152-27 stopped at Oriana. The sun set is reflected in the windows of #7879. Not much light left at 1713Hrs on 12/31/10 and not much of the first decade of this century left either.
