I think the more somber colors would look a bit more elegant. But Daylight colors wouldn't be bad.

Or the sort of job the Santa Fe did on Amos and Andy (1 and 1A) for the introductory heavy-weight Super Chief...

Maybe, but I don't think it would work that well on the Genesis units.

Amtrak Train #86 makes its stop in Fredericksburg, VA. at 9:10 on Aug. 26, 2008. They are already 15 minutes late after 55 miles.

Found myself along the Keystone Corridor at Narberth this afternoon at rush hour, so decided to grab a few pix.
Westbound cabcar leading...not sure why Amtrak was on the outer tracks today.

This shot was taken today and you can see the view is different since it snowed on Monday morning.   The view on the hill is really great this time of year when the sun is out like today.
Enjoy

This is #6 eastbound into Colfax today.  The sun has moved until it is hard to get the shot I wanted this time of year, but the snow was great.

After being held up by both CSX and MARC, the Westbound Capitol Limited finally heads on its way out of Gaithersburg

Here's a few pictures I got while I was down in Kissimmee (Ka-simmee), Florida during my visit last week. This is the old Atlantic Coast Line's mainline to Miami. It is now CSX's "A-Line". The station is of a 'clapboard' style... very simple. Though simple, it's a nice lookin' station.

The 3rd train of the afternoon (I missed the first two), Train #92 the Silver Star, arrived at 3:15PM. Due to track work on the A-Line, the train was delayed. However, this was to my advantage, as you can see.

I found this to be interesting, as this would be the next (and last) scheduled for the day. It was due around 6:30PM. Would be nice to have a Seaboard trainset pull into the station, wouldn't it?

After a nice late lunch in town (I forget the name of the place, or else I'd recommend it), I headed back to catch the last train of the evening pull in. Just in time, as the light was just fading away.

Hope you enjoyed my photos... not to often I see Amtrak trains so it was a nice change of pace.
