Looks like #66 will be out for a while. I'm hearing it was involved in an altercation with a semi in Joliet, IL today. Good news is the crew is ok. I wonder what the cab camera caught.

If NTSB investigates, that (cab camera) footage will appear in due course. Unless somebody gets it sooner, of course.

7/1/17 found Amtrak #156 on Amtrak train #66. I caught him westbound passing some parked CSX power on the Peninsula Sub in Newport News, VA.

Yah know, the "Heritage unit" rendition of the original Bloody Nose AMTRAK scheme looks better than the original did. Of course, licensing the Warbonnet would look better yet - maybe following the D&H variation (or Santa Fe's own repainted Fs in Blue and silver)
