I first visited them in Dec. 2008 when their track was disconnected from the Union County Industrial Railroad due to a removed height restricted bridge.

Since my first visit, the bridge was rebuilt and some equipment from their collection has been sold and moved offline.

Pics of an excursion going past their restored station:

The line next to the equipment is the Union County Industrial Railroad.

The line was re-opened to service a planned industrial park in Allenwood.

The white box car with windows is an NX23 caboose. During the war (WWII) the PRR had a shortage of cabeese so they took a bunch of 1890s box cars, X23, and added windows, stove, bunks and a desk along with side cupolas and called them NX23. There aren't many left. The Pemberton Township Historic Trust had one that was in great shape inside but the exterior was in bad shape. I do not know what happened to it when the trust was broken up by the mayor but most of the other rolling stock was scrapped on site. The cupolas were installed where the side doors went and a man door was installed next to them filling the original opening.

Later!
Mr. Ed
