If you are ever in the Denver area this is a must see and ride.  
 
The motive power is currently Westside Lumber Co shay #9. You can see the loop trestle in the top left corner.

The big trestle on the loop. The original was scrapped in the 1930's.

The other end of the line is in Silver Plume Colorado where the office and shops are located. They also have a number of narrow guage diesels on the line.

My wife and I rode this train this past July.  We had a fantastic time riding the rails.
  Though we had diesel power this day, we did see the (Shay) steamer in action.  
Colorado has beautiful sites and I encourage anyone who really loves nature at it's best, to try this line.  BTW, drink plenty of water since altitude can play havoc on your body.
