Thanks! My photos are actually pre-RMLI, when the Sunrise Trail Chapter was in charge of them. 4 were repainted in 1976 for the Bi-Centennial, and sadly, only a few of the original 14 cars survive today.

Here are some pictures from last weekend. It was a horrible rainy day but that was not bad. The president of the museum came down and ran his O gauge trains that were really nice.  I also got some shots of the LIRR from the upstairs window. Hopefully this weekend will be better. It will be cold though. My ELA teacher will be coming by to experience Long Island's Rich Railroading History!

Engine 414. When will I see 420? The engine I got a cab rides in. Last time I saw her I was on my way to Ronkomkoma from Penn Station and saw her as we stopped at Jamaica not on the Greenport Line

Cool pictures Anthony. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. That LIRR steamer is pretty cool, especially with those LIRR coaches behind it. Hope your teacher like it . Can't wait for more.

This weekend was one of the best I ever had at RMLI.

Around 11:30 another member (john) and I started to decorate for Christmas and when the train came in we stopped and looked out the window. Another member informed us about a mile down the line there was a freight train in a siding. Being the trainfans so John and I drove down to see the train. We got there it was 2 LIRR MP-15s with 5 full hoppers of ballast. The engines were on and everything but they were just sitting. I saw them at about 11:45 and left at 4:00 and they were still sitting there so I can only wonder. So I got some good pics  of them

Believe it or not the front engine was locked and the crew was no where to be found with the door open

There was no crossing at the front of the engine and we did not want to walk down that far
