The attached photo is of RSC3 4001 leading 2 other Alco's on an empty train working today. They were taking a long rake of passenger cars north to the semi-rural city of Maitland for the annual Steamfest. There will be steam trains working everywhere from Maitland for the next 2 days.
The RSC is owned by the NSW Rail Transport Museum and after many years of hard work by a team of volunteers has been returned to full service. The trailing locomotives are a hybrid with an Alco 244 engine and a DL500B.
