Welcome to the ALCO Board, a place where ALCO fans can discuss anything ALCO. We railfans like ALCOs for many different reasons including the trademark smoke or the sound of the engine. Some like the sleek looks of some ALCOs. Whatever your reason, please enjoy this board. Remember to keep things clean!

I love ALCos! Unfortunately, the last ALCos around here were gone around 1979/80. The SP used C628s and 630s in transfer service between Taylor yard and West Colton. The Fillmore and Western uses an S6 on its excursion train,I rode behind this unit on 7-4-05.
